While the Bundesliga title has already slipped away for Bayern Munich, the one positive to come from the season has been the form of Harry Kane.
The Englishman was on target once again as Bayern eased past Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday afternoon.
The former Spurs man bagged a brace, including one goal from the penalty spot to bring his tally on the season to 35 goals in 31 Bundesliga games and 42 in all competitions — his personal best.
In the process the 30-year-old became the first ever Bundesliga debutant to register a goal or an assist against ever league opponent in a single campaign.
It’s merely personal consolation for Kane, who seemingly left London for the comfortable confines of Bavaria in an effort to move closer to silverware.
But setting records galore and bringing your career goalscoring tally for club and country to 400 is no easy feat.
In better news for Kane and Bayern, they remain alive in the Champions League as they face the daunting task of a semi-final showdown with Real Madrid.
