Harry Gray continued his impressive start to the Premier League 2 season, netting the winner in a 2-1 victory over Burnley Under-21s at Turf Moor.

The Whites bounced back from defeat against Ipswich Town last time out with Louie Dudley also on the scoresheet in Lancashire.

Speaking after the full-time whistle, match winner Gray was delighted that the side’s performance was rewarded with three points.

“It was a good win but also a tough game,” Gray explained. “They made it difficult for us but we had to kind of stick in at times and work with it and we ended up eventually getting the win.

“We were the better team throughout the whole first half and we knew we would get another chance.

“In the second half, we had a lot more chances and we knew the goal would come and eventually it did.

“It has been a good start. Obviously, we lost against Ipswich which was disappointing. But yeah, we are playing well.

“We just need to find the consistency and keep doing it every week instead of one week we do it and the next week we are not good enough. Once we find that, the team will score more goals.”
