Guirassy Strikes Twice as Dortmund Outclass Union Berlin 3-0

Borussia Dortmund claimed their 1st Bundesliga victory of the season with commanding 3 - 0 win over Union Berlin on Sunday, thanks to brace from Serhou Guirassy.

Guirassy leads the charge

The Guinea striker opened the scoring in the 44 minute finishing off Yan Couto cross. He struck again after the break chipping Union goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow with composure in the 58 minute.

Felix Nmecha sealed the win with Dortmund’s 3rd goal in the 81st minute.

Dortmund'd drawn 3 - 3 with St Pauli in their opening game where Guirassy also found the net. This time Edin Terzic’s men showed greater control delighting fans at Signal Iduna Park.

New faces & injury scare

Jobe Bellingham required treatment after clash of heads but was able to continue until the 70 minute. Argentine defender Aaron Anselmino made his debut following his loan move from Chelsea.

Table outlook

With the win, Dortmund moved to four points sitting 3rd behind Bayern Munich & Eintracht Frankfurt who share the early lead.

Union Berlin, on the other hand suffered their 1st defeat of the campaign and remain on three points in 10 place.
