Celtic face Aberdeen this Saturday in the Scottish Cup Final with Brendan Rodgers’ side chasing a Treble. Celtic’s allocation sold out quickly and those that have been lucky enough to get a ticket will be looking forward to returning to Hampden.
In anticipation of the game, Celtic Ultras the Green Brigade held a fundraising event before the win over Hibernian with a view to arranging a tifo. Despite difficulties in organising a tifo for the League Cup Final against Rangers, the group confirmed that there would be a display at the weekend.
In a post across social media channels, the GB confirmed that there would be not one but two different displays during the game to really get behind the team and push them towards another piece of silverware.
Hopefully Celtic and the GB can resume relations ahead of the new season to enhance the atmosphere at Celtic Park. The standing section would benefit from Bhoys Celtic moving into the section alongside the GB but the club will no doubt have their own concerns about future incidents. Hopefully a middle ground can be reached between all parties with Celtic Park the beneficiary.
The game is a rematch of the 2017 Scottish Cup Final from Brendan’s first tenure in which Tom Rogic scored that incredible late winner to secure an Invincible Treble. Perhaps there will be a nod to that iconic final in the tifo before kickoff.
