Charleroi are struggling at the moment. The side are in a poor run of form in the Belgian Pro League and saw first choice goalkeeper Mohamed Koné break his arm during the derby clash with Standard Liege. His replacement was set to be former RWDM goalkeeper Theo Defourney. However, during their cup defeat to Patro Eisden he also suffered an injury. The club have announced he is also set to miss a prolonged period.

Now the responsibility will pass to 20-year-old Martin Delavallée. The young goalkeeper is a regular with the second team who play in the lower reaches of Belgian football. First up for the third choice goalkeeper will be a clash with Cercle Brugge on Sunday, a game that Charleroi could really do with getting something out of. Despite some positive performances this season, recent weeks have seen the side looked like the one that ended up in the relegation play-offs last season.
