According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma have a “concrete” interest in signing Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.
The Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert reports on the transfer links on his homepage. He adds, however, that a January move is unlikely, as is a swap deal involving Lorenzo Pellegrini.
In the last few days. transfer links have emerged between Inter midfielder Frattesi and Roma.
Reportedly, Frattesi is not content with the amount of playing time he’s had at Inter.
The former Sassuolo midfielder has made eight starts so far this season. That’s an uptick from last campaign, but not all that much.
Therefore, Roma could hope to lure Frattesi by offering a more prominent role in the starting eleven.
Sky transfer expert Di Marzio confirms that Roma indeed consider Frattesi a target.
However, he notes, Inter are not keen to let the 25-year-old leave during the January transfer window.
Moreover, the Nerazzurri would certainly demand a high fee for Frattesi.
Therefore, the links would be more relevant to a potential transfer next summer.
In the meantime, there have also been rumours of a swap deal involving Frattesi and out-of-favour Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.
However, Di Marzio reports that Roma have no interest in such a deal.
