Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi is already at work ahead of the summer transfer market.
Ghisolfi was in San Siro during Inter-Bayern Munich, sitting between the executives of the two teams. The reason behind Ghisolfi’s trip to Milan is business-related: the French executive has begun to define the future of Nicola Zalewski, currently on loan to Inter with a buy option set at 6 million. According to Il Romanista, Ghisolfi wants to close the agreement that will see Zalewski remain at Inter on a permanent deal.
But behind the mission for Zalewski could hide an even bigger affair. Inter, in fact, also set their eyes on Lorenzo Pellegrini. The Giallorossi captain has not yet discussed the renewal of his contract, expiring in 2026, and the club is considering the possibility of selling him already in the summer to monetise as much as possible before the player can agree with another club to move in free agency next year.
Conte’s Napoli remains at the window, but the Nerazzurri are ready to get serious. With Mkhitaryan close to retirement, Pellegrini’s profile is considered perfect for collecting his legacy in the middle of the field.
