Getafe star on his way to England to seal Premier League switch | OneFootball

A key member of the first-team ranks at La Liga outfit Getafe is all set for a move to the Premier League.

That’s according to market insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Christantus Uche as the player in question.

The name of versatile midfielder/attacker Uche has proven a prominent one in the headlines surrounding Getafe for some time now.

This comes after word was forthcoming that, owing to ongoing financial constraints, the Azulones would likely be forced to part with the Nigerian before the summer is out.

Fresh off an impressive campaign last time out, a number of clubs from across the continent, in turn, expressed a keen interest in Uche’s services.

And as alluded to above, after the 22-year-old’s Coliseum exit links went somewhat quiet over the last week, one such suitor now appear to have struck a deal for his signature.

As per a report from journalist Matteo Moretto:

‘Last-minute surprise: Christantus Uche, on his way to the Premier League. The footballer is already on his way to England.’

*Update* – Crystal Palace have since been revealed as Uche’s landing spot.
