It was reported yesterday that German international manager Julian Nagelsmann is keeping tabs on Celtic star Nicolas Kuhn after his blistering start to the season, and a call up to the international squad is well within reason.
Nagelsmann has admitted that Nicolas Kuhn is a player he will be keeping tabs on after the winger’s impressive campaign that has seen him score 10 goals and register 13 goals across all competitions, most notably in the Champions League where he scored a double against German side RB Leipzig.

While Nagelsmann didn’t exactly go into great detail and confirm a call up is just around the corner, the very fact that Nicolas is being talked about in terms of the German squad is indeed a feather in his cap.
It’s also a feather in the cap of Brendan Rodgers who has totally turned the players career around. Nicolas was a highly regarded youth prospect in his native land where he fell out of the picture and moved to Rapid Wien to further his career.

Celtic noticed the potential in the German and signed him and January for the relatively low fee of £3 million. Despite a rocky start Nicolas is now showing his full potential and that is of course down to his undoubted ability, as well as the Midas touch of Brendan Rodgers.

The Irishman is once again showing he’s one of the very best at getting the very best out of players.
