La Gazzetta dello Sport insists Massimiliano Allegri is Milan’s leading candidate to replace Sergio Conceiçao because of his deep Serie A knowledge and winning pedigree.
Milan are expected to part company from Conceiçao at the end of the season, and their ex-coach Allegri has emerged as the leading candidate to take over at San Siro in 2025-26.
The Rossoneri are also working to hire a new sporting director, with Fabio Paratici and Igli Tare currently seen as the leading candidates for the job.
According to Gazzetta, Milan are seriously considering reuniting Paratici and Allegri at Milan after their winning experience at Juventus.

Although their relationship in Turin deteriorated in 2019 when Juventus sacked the Italian tactician, Allegri’s recent visits to London contributed to reuniting the coach and the director.
Gazzetta insists that Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are also admirers of Allegri.
Ibra famously clashed with Allegri when Max coached Milan, but according to the report, the former striker still appreciates the Italian boss.
‘At the moment, there is no other coach on the market with Allegri’s value,’ Gazzetta concluded.
‘After last summer’s gamble on Fonseca, this time, to rebuild the Rossoneri, Cardinale and his team want a coach they can bet on with their eyes closed. Someone who provides guarantees, knows Serie A, and, most importantly, knows what it takes to lift the Scudetto trophy.’
Allegri won one Serie A title at Milan, remaining at the club for three and a half years, from 2010 until January 2014.
