GdS: Milan fall to the ‘same flaws’ against Bologna – the problems Conceicao must sort

The Bologna game, unfortunately, did not show any new issues. A strange phrasing, yes, but it is the same faults that AC Milan have been victim to all season, and failing to prevent them is a tiring reality.

Losing to Bologna has been a sucker punch for everyone, and any hope has been sucked out of Milan today. Champions League football now looks a miracle away, and the season now rests on the Coppa Italia, as Gazzetta dello Sport states.

Unfortunately, the Rossoneri only have themselves to blame.

Again, the side fell to the ‘same flaws’, and failing to learn from their mistakes is why they are in this position.

Everyone is guilty, from top to bottom. The stars have left the fans feeling despair, more than they have left them feeling fantastic. Despite two different coaches, the results have been more or less the same, despite the odd anomaly.

Above all, it boils down to consistency, which has been an individual and collective struggle for a few years now. Mentality problems clearly reside within the walls of Milanello, but no fix has been found by the coaches.

We can also look to the ‘Fab Four’ a beacon of hope in February, now, it is a distant dream. Each solution, whether four or three attackers, has its downfalls, which again points the finger above the squad, whilst simultaneously drawing questions about the players themselves.

Ultimately, the cycle is so damaging that everyone is at fault. Unfortunately, that creates a cycle. Players are to blame, could be to do with coaching, that appointment is the management’s fault, but their players are not performing. The wheel goes round, and round, and round. Here we are.
