Gareth Taylor has been confirmed as the new head coach of Liverpool Women.
The two sides have been in talks for some time and the Reds are now able to officially announce their new permanent coach following Matt Beard's sacking last season.
Taylor was previously in charge of Manchester City but was dismissed during the 2024/25 campaign following poor league form and a public falling out with star Chloe Kelly, now of Arsenal.
"I am delighted to have been appointed as Liverpool’s new head coach," Taylor said on his arrival. "Everyone in football knows about the history, size and potential of this club, and I am really looking forward to the task ahead.
"Our aim is to create a team that supporters can be proud of, which plays good football and which will hopefully bring success along the way."
Taylor will need to help Liverpool get back to their best following a seventh-placed finish last year and the departures of key players Taylor Hinds and Olivia Smith.
