Christophe Galtier has been speaking to the media ahead of PSG’s Ligue 1 clash with Lille on Sunday.

On Neymar and Kyliann Mbappé’s situation

“I am not going to make connections of Mbappé’s words & Neymar’s photo at a fast-food place.

“I have spoken to Ney & said what I thought about the photo & that will stay between us. Neymar has the right on his day off. He likes playing poker & has the right to do so.”

On Mbappé’s availability

“We need to win this weekend. We have a better chance of winning if Kylian is playing, so Mbappé will play against Lille.”

On Presnel Kimpembe

“Kimpembe is a key player here. He knows the club perfectly well in terms of responsibility involved in playing for PSG & the atmosphere here.

“He is important & a key player for us on the pitch. He is a natural leader & we need freshness mentally.”

On PSG’s transfer business

“Playing for PSG is difficult even more when you’re foreign & even more when you arrive late.

“PSG has a history that shows some very good players needed time to settle in here. Fabian & Soler arrived very late.”

On Bayern Munich defeat

“If you think I enjoyed watching my team play like they did against Bayern Munich for 60 minutes, you are disrespecting me a bit.”

On PSG’s current form

“In terms of being pleased with the investment? I am not saying that, I protect my players until the end, they work hard. Am I happy with their performance? No.

“Do you think starting Warren Zaïre-Emery at 16 against Bayern Munich was something I had been working towards? The circumstances dictated that & I didn’t have other options.”
