French President Emmanuel Macron has reiterated his hope that Real Madrid will release Kylian Mbappé for the Paris Olympics. In a video posted on X, the French president expressed his hope for Mbappé to join the French national team at the Olympic Games.

I count on Real Madrid to release Kylian for the Olympics so he can come and play with the French national team,” Macron stated in response to a question about Mbappé’s potential move to Real Madrid.

The Olympics begin on July 26, but Real Madrid have already indicated that players participating at Euro 2024 (June 14 – July 14) will not be permitted to attend the Paris event due to injury risks. Moreover, Real Madrid’s preseason consists of a summer tour in the United States, starting with a match on July 31, clashing with participation in the Olympics.

Mbappé announced his departure from PSG and the French league on Friday, without revealing his next club.

Earlier, Macron addressed the issue, without naming Real Madrid, emphasizing his efforts to press his presumed new club to allow Mbappé to play in the Paris Olympics this summer.
