An incredible quirk of fate could be about to go down in the Premier League.
It's exactly nine years to the day since Jamie Vardy broke a seemingly impossible record in the English top flight by scoring in 11 consecutive games.
Vardy netted his 11th in a row against Manchester United back in 2015 in the campaign in which the Foxes would eventually go on to claim the title.
But whose record did Vardy beat that day? Ruud van Nistelrooy.
And who is widely reported as being the new Leicester coach with an announcement later today? You guessed it - Ruud.
That coincidence can surely only be a good sign for the east Midlands outfit.
