Ex-Real Madrid star Nacho has this week tipped Los Blancos to beat out the compettion of arch rivals Barcelona, to secure the La Liga title.
The early months of the Spanish campaign have of course seen Barcelona establish themselves as the country’s dominant force.
All told, across 13 league outings to date, Hansi Flick’s troops have racked up wins in all but two.
This includes a 4-0 drubbing of none other than Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu late last month.
And yet, as things stand in the table, should Carlo Ancelotti’s reigning champions emerge victorious from their game in hand, they will close the gap on Barca to just three points.
And one individual who believes in the capital giants’ chances of as much, and more, comes in the form of the aforementioned Nacho.
Speaking during an interview with COPE this week, defender Nacho, who departed Madrid for the riches of Saudi Arabia during the summer, was asked for his thoughts on the La Liga title race.
And the 34-year-old went on to explain:
“Barcelona are playing well, and the title fight will be great. But, I think Real Madrid will win La Liga.”
