Raul Asencio is the first Real Madrid academy graduate to make it as a regular starter in the club’s first-team lineup in several years. His rise, needless to say, was partially down to fortune as the manager was pressed for defensive options with mainstays injured.
Needless to say, there have been many talents in recent years with potential as much, if not more, than Asencio, as Nico Paz is one such player.
The 20-year-old Argentine international signed for Como from the Castilla team in August 2024 in a deal worth €6 million and has done well ever since.
As confirmed in a recent report by Fabrizio Romano, Paz’s biggest dream continues to be to play for Real Madrid someday and the player deeply desires a re-run at the club.

It is safe to say that he left the club only for regular minutes to keep growing and prove his worth to the management in Madrid and he has been successful in his mission so far.
Inter Milan are seriously interested in his signing and like his profile as an addition to their already-stacked midfield. A deal, however, is far from materialising at this point.
Meanwhile, Romano furthers that whether or not a deal goes through depends purely on Real Madrid and what they decide to do with Paz. If they wish for the player to return, they will have the first chance to pioneer the transfer before any third-party club enters the fray.
So far this season, Paz has been in fine form for Como and has already racked up 26 appearances and 22 starts for the Serie A side in the competition. In that duration, he already has six goals and four assists to his name and averages 1.7 key passes per game.
Carlo Ancelotti has been closely monitoring the progress of the young academy gem and did not rule out a potential return soon for Paz when asked about the youngster.
