Liverpool went four points clear at the top of the Premier League after thrashing Tottenham Hotspur 6-3 on Sunday.
The Reds went ahead after 23 minutes when Luis Diaz nodded home the opener.
Alexis Mac Allister doubled Liverpool’s advantage before James Maddison sparked hopes of a comeback with a lovely finish into the bottom corner.
However, Dominik Szoboszlai restored the visitors’ lead in first-half stoppage time, after being brilliantly set up by Mohamed Salah.
The Egypt international got in on the act himself after the break, as he extended his team’s advantage with a close-range finish.
Salah bagged his second seven minutes later before Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke threatened to make a late comeback.
But Diaz swooped for his second as Liverpool cruised to a comfortable win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Football pundit Shay Given was left hugely impressed with Salah, calling the forward ‘phenomenal’.
Given said: “He is a special talent. The big news around him – is he gonna stay or is he gonna go?
“The numbers back it up. I don’t think they can afford to let him go. He is just phenomenal.”
There is uncertainty regarding Salah’s future at Liverpool.
His contract expires in June, which means he will be able to enter talks with foreign clubs from January.
The Reds fans will be devastated if the Egyptian leaves the club on a free transfer next summer.
Salah is on the wrong side of 30, but it appears age is having no effect on him.
The forward is enjoying a brilliant season in the Premier League, scoring 15 goals in 16 matches.
Liverpool must make big efforts to keep Salah at Anfield beyond next summer.
