As the UEFA Champions League semi-finals approach, football legends and fans are weighing in with their views on the likely finalists. One of the most notable recent opinions has come from former winger Luis Figo.
The Portuguese star, who famously played for both Barcelona and Inter Milan, has expressed his wish to see the Italian side reach the final.
While Figo remains a celebrated figure in Italy, his name still draws mixed reactions among the Barcelona faithful, especially after his move to arch-rivals Real Madrid many years ago.
Barcelona, under Hansi Flick, are having a strong campaign and remain in the running for a historic treble, with chances still alive in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Champions League.
Inter Milan, on the other hand, have already missed out on one of their domestic trophies, having been eliminated from the Coppa Italia after a 0-3 loss to AC Milan.
Despite that setback, Figo believes Inter have enough quality to push for European glory.

When discussing Inter’s chances, Figo pointed out the club’s traditional Italian approach to football.
“Inter have conceded very few goals in the Champions League,” he noted, attributing that to their solid defensive structure.
He also added that Inter are far from a one-dimensional team, praising their attackers who, in his words, “can make the difference” when it matters most.
Although Figo acknowledged that it is hard to predict who will lift the trophy, he did name PSG as a potential favourite.
“They suffered in Europe at the beginning of the season,” he admitted, “but they have now put together a run of very positive results and are in great physical shape.”
Even so, his heart lies with Inter. “I hope Inter go all the way to the final.”
His support for Inter Milan over Barcelona, especially ahead of such a massive tie, is likely to add fuel to the fire among fans, particularly those still disappointed by his controversial past.
