Alvaro Rodriguez was one of many Real Madrid youngsters who left the club on loan last summer, as he signed for Getafe on a season-long deal.

The striker, who will turn 21 this month, had a rather ordinary campaign, during which he featured 26 times, netting three and assisting one goal.

With his loan stint coming to an end, the Spanish-Uruguayan is set to return to Real Madrid, and will not be moving back to Getafe this summer.

However, the youngster, who has ten senior appearances (one goal, one assist) for Los Blancos, does not have a place in the team for next season.

No shortage of interest in Alvaro Rodriguez

As such, according to Mundo Deportivo, Rodriguez will leave Real Madrid again and has no shortage of interest with multiple clubs in La Liga showing interest.

The forward is currently exploring options for next season and has ruled out a return to Coliseum Alfonso Perez under Jose Bordalas.

Among the clubs showing interest are two of the newly-promoted La Liga sides, Levante and Elche, as well as Rayo Vallecano, particularly if Raul de Tomas leaves.

Deportivo Alaves, who are already set to sign Real Madrid youngster Yusi, are also interested.

A move abroad also remains a possibility as Rodriguez considers the next step in his career.

With no shortage of options, the striker’s next destination is expected to be decided in the coming weeks. The goal is for him to join his new team during pre-season, rather than once the campaign is already underway.

Having already raised around €10 million from sales of two youngsters, Real Madrid will hope to generate more revenue in the coming weeks.
