Flamengo’s under-20 side look to maintain momentum in the Brasileiro Sub-20 when they face Santos on Tuesday afternoon at Estádio José Bastos Padilha in Rio de Janeiro. With the match scheduled for 14:45 (Brasília time), Flamengo enter the 15th round sitting sixth in the table with 23 points from 14 matches, while Santos arrive in 11th with 18 points.

This fixture gives Flamengo an opportunity to consolidate their position in the top six, key for a run at the knockout stage, against opponents who have struggled for consistency this campaign. Under coach Nuno Campos, Flamengo’s likely lineup sees Lucas Furtado taking up the gloves behind a backline of Wanderson, Da Mata, Iago, and Daniel Sales. The midfield is set to feature Fabiano and Rayan anchoring, with Jorge Mora and Guilherme providing support. Up front, Pedro Leão and Shola offer attacking options.

Santos, managed by Mauricio Copertino, look to Pedro in goal, with Matheus Filipe, Assis, Diego Matos, and Pedro Hian comprising their defence. Kenay, Lucas Jaime, and Bernardo are likely to form the midfield trio, while Padula, Felipe Laurindo, and Kauan Pereira should start in attack.

Both clubs are turning to young talent as they seek valuable points before the business end of the group phase. With the home advantage and superior form, Flamengo are in a favourable position, but Santos have proved capable of challenging higher-ranked teams in isolated fixtures.

Referee Lucas de Melo Maciel Barcelos will oversee proceedings, assisted by Carlos Henrique Cardoso de Souza and Fabio Ramos Franca. Supporters can follow the match via FlaTV’s YouTube broadcast.

Flamengo’s youth sector has regularly provided first-team prospects, and a strong result here would further their claim as one of the most robust academies in the league this season. Santos, aiming to revive their hopes of climbing the table, will have to be at their best to neutralize the hosts’ attacking firepower.
