Today (Tuesday) 205 local Primary 5 pupils from four East End schools - Dalmarnock, Riverbank, Sacred Heart and St Timothy’s - had a wonderful visit to Celtic Park, as Celtic FC Foundation treated them to a Christmas party to remember…. and with two very special guests in attendance.
Celtic’s Portuguese star, Paulo Bernardo, took time out from his well-earned days off to come and see the kids and he brought with him a very special friend – the Premier Sports Cup, so the kids could have a look at Celtic’s latest silverware.
The party was made possible following the success of the Foundation’s Christmas Appeal, and the kids were treated to a festive lunch, party games, a visit from Hoopy the Huddle Hound and a disco.
And. of course, there was a visit from Santa who provided gifts for all the children in attendance.
Through our 2024 Christmas Appeal, we hope to assist local families facing poverty, so they can enjoy the type of Christmas that many of us take for granted.
As well as pensioners, women and children in refuge, the homeless community, refugees, and a host of others who would otherwise struggle over the festive period.
As we approach the climax of the Appeal, together with our magnificent supporters, we’ll be doing all we can to reach the heights of last year’s campaign, which raised and distributed a phenomenal sum of £397K.
Together we can ‘Make Christmas Magic’.
