Liverpool ran chaos at Anfield in the second leg of the semi-final round of the EFL Cup against Tottenham Hotspur. Trailing 1-0 prior to the first whistle, the Premier League leaders showed why they are the most in-form team in the world at present.
The Reds showed no mercy and netted four goals to secure a berth for the finale. Their next game is against Plymouth Argyle in the 4th round of the FA Cup. Arne Slot will be aiming for another victory to go deep into the competition.
Defence
Caoimhin Kelleher didn’t have much to do against Spurs and kept an easy clean sheet. He should be operating between the sticks once again. No change at the right-back spot as Conor Bradley continues to play there.
Jarell Quansah and Wataru Endō are likely to be deployed in the centre of the defence in place of Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk. A rest for left-back Andy Robertson as well as Konstantinos Tsimikas takes his duties.

Midfield
James McConnell is expected to get a chance to play in the middle of the park alongside Alexis Mac Allister. The Argentine will play after getting a well-deserved rest.
Attack
Arne Slot would surely not bother Mohamed Salah to play in this fixture and Harvey Elliott is likely to play on the right flank. Federico Chiesa and Luiz Diaz are also called up to take the offensive roles.
Darwin Nunez continues to play as the striker in the lineup.
Slot has already confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold isn’t going to be part of this game. Hence, the Reds have him as an absentee apart from Tyler Morton.
