Vinicius Jr. is not experiencing his best moment as a Real Madrid player. Despite starting the season strong, leading his team to the UEFA Super Cup, the Brazilian seems far from the player who was crucial in helping the club secure their 15th Champions League title.

The 24-year-old’s performance has yet to reach full potential this season, and the criticism around him is becoming increasingly loud. His involvement in controversies, both on and off the field, has sparked discontent among the Madrid fanbase and even within the club.

Vinicius’ comments on racism in Spain have sparked controversy. In a recent interview, the Brazilian suggested that Spain might no longer be the host of the 2030 World Cup if the country does not make significant progress in addressing racism.

Vinicius ‘fed up’

Vinicius’ statements on the matter have ruffled up some feathers in Spain, with various government officials, ex-footballers, and former managers, all making comments about it.

Some reports in Spanish media have even suggested that officials at Real Madrid are also not pleased with how the Brazilian has gone about the issue.

According to Cadena SER, those close to Vinicius claim that he is fed up with everything he has been going through recently.

The Brazilian’s inner circle has revealed that he is tired and that there is too much noise around him, and everything he says or does. In fact, they believe there is a campaign against him, especially in Spain, following his comments regarding racism in the country.

Vinicius feels that his statements have triggered a flood of false news aimed at destabilising him. Among these rumours is one suggesting that Vinicius and Kylian Mbappe don’t get along, which he has found particularly frustrating as the two share a very good bond.

Real Madrid senior figures support Vinicius

Fortunately, some of Real Madrid’s senior figures have come to his defence. Among them is head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has been Vinicius’ most vocal supporter within the club.

In his latest press conference, Ancelotti denounced the abuse the winger has faced, noting that he has been the target of countless insults during every match, which understandably led to his outburst at Anoeta, where he shushed the crowd after scoring a penalty.

Club captain Dani Carvajal also defended his teammate, saying that Vinicius’ reaction was justified given the constant verbal attacks he endures.

With key figures in the club rallying around him, Vinicius Jr. is receiving the support he needs as he navigates this challenging period.
