FC Bayern and Professor Dr Holger Broich will end their long and successful work together on 1 July following good and amicable talks. The 49-year-old has worked for the club as head of the science, performance diagnostics and fitness department with the men’s first team but also covering the entire youth section since July 2014.

Max Eberl, FC Bayern board member for sport: “For 10 years, Holger Broich was part of the team behind the team that completed the most successful decade in FC Bayern's history. He combines scientific knowledge with extensive professional experience at the highest level, from topics such as performance diagnostics to training management and youth development. Our decision is to be seen as an integral part of our fundamental reorganisation in the sporting area, and is expressly separate from the course of the past season. We would like to thank Holger Broich for an unprecedentedly successful time, to which he has made a major contribution, and wish him all the best for the future.”
