It is no secret that FC Barcelona is not in the most ideal of positions. The Catalan giants are unable to compete as they would like to, neither on or off the pitch. However, if Barcelona are to make a proper comeback, they need to make adequate sacrifices.

The first sacrifice they may have to make comes through the sale of their star players. At the moment, the Catalan giants have a great number of players in the team who could attract mega offers from within the market. Yet, while almost anyone is saleable for the right price, there are always exceptions.

For Barcelona, according to SPORT at least, that exception is the one and only Lamine Yamal. The 16-year-old wonderkid, crafted and developed from within La Masia, remains the sole untouchable for Barcelona and only his future at the club is considered a guarantee.

This likely comes as a result of two major factors, one of which SPORT has even explicitly mentioned. That factor would be the sporting one, given that Yamal remains the most unbalancing figure that Barcelona currently has in their team. His ability to single-handled change the entire situation of any game is second to none, and for that reason, he remains vital to Barcelona.

Another potentially major reason could be his position as the future face of the club. It has been quite some time since Barcelona, or even the footballing world at large, has last seen a talent this young be this good. His stocks continue to rise astronomically, and he is seen as a guaranteed future face of Barcelona as a club itself.

Retaining him is already a priority, and Lamine Yamal remains completely off the market. PSG have tried in the past to potentially lure him away, and mega offers for him have even been rejected by Barcelona. It is no secret that he is a special talent, and the Catalans will do whatever it takes to protect their most valuable and untouchable asset.
