The FA have confirmed that an independent Regulatory Commission has upheld Arsenal’s claim for wrongful dismissal of Myles Lewis-Skelly. This means that Arsenal can utilise the talented fullback rather than having him sit out through suspension for three games. This news could even have ramifications for Kieran Tierney’s return to Celtic.

The Scottish Champions are waiting to see whether Arsenal will sanction a loan deal until the end of the season before he signs permanently. Although, given injuries across their backline, Tierney appeared to be back in favour at Arsenal – deputising to Lewis-Skelly.

Arsenal would have been unlikely to allow KT to leave with their first pick leftback out of the team through suspension but now, they may deem it appropriate to allow Tierney to make a sensational return to Celtic.

Celtic have sanctioned a move for Alex Valle to join Cesc Fabregas’ Como FC, suggesting that a deal could be forthcoming to bring Tierney to Celtic this month. The decision to break the loan deal with Barca had been touted but given that it leaves Celtic short at left back.
