Ajax head coach Francesco Farioli addressed his future amid links with Roma.

The Italian technician was recently named as one of the candidates for Roma’s managerial vacancy.

Speaking at a press conference on the eve of the next match, Farioli dodged any questions about his future.

“The goal is to finish this season well,” said the Italian coach. “It’s not a topic for today. Our thoughts are on the present.”

“I have my desires and my aspirations, they are clear. Now the focus is absolutely on next week’s matches.”

Ajax’s next league match will be crucial for qualification for the Champions League. “The most important pressure is to bring Ajax back to the Champions League. A lot of this pressure has already passed.”

“We will hear the music of the Champions League for at least two games. I don’t want to forget what has happened since we were here a year ago to bring this team back to the Champions League.”
