Parma are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira as new head coach Carlos Cuesta aims for reunion with the player he coached in North London.

According to what has been reported by The Times, via TMW, Arsenal are prepared to part ways with Vieira to help finance their ambitious summer plans – which has seen the Gunners wrap up several key deals already and closing in on Sporting striker Victor Gyokeres.

Cuesta wants Fabio Vieira reunion at Parma

Carlos Cuesta left his role as one of Mikel Arteta’s assistants at Arsenal this summer to become the new head coach of Parma. The ambitious young coach looks to usher in a new era at the club and could turn to his old club in search of reinforcements.

Vieira was initially tipped for big things at the North London club after signing from Porto in 2022 for an estimated fee of €35 million plus €5 million in add-ons. However, an unremarkable first couple of seasons in red and white led the Portuguese playmaker to spend the 2024-25 campaign on loan with his old club Porto.

Now, Vieira looks set to be on his way out and Cuesta could aim for a dream reunion with the player in Emilia-Romagna.
