Teenage starlet has been tipped for bright future
West Ham are in negotiations with OH Leuven after making the Belgian club aware of their desire to sign midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi.
Standard Sport understands Leuven value the 19-year-old at around £12.7million, with an agreement not yet made between the two clubs.
Banzuzi, who has been capped by the Netherlands at youth level, has been tipped for a bright future.
West Ham want to bring him in this month and have been in regular dialogue with Leuven.
Banzuzi is into the final 18 months of his contract in Belgian, with Leuven willing to let him go for the right price.
The Hammers want to back new manager Graham Potter this month and have previously made a failed attempt to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran.
Villa, however, have no desire to let leave Duran this month and West Ham could be forced to look at other attacking targets.
West Ham are also keen on Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz, but their manager Marco Silva insists he is not for sale and it is unlikely Muniz will move.
