Rodrygo Goes finds himself at a crossroads in his career at Real Madrid with two weeks left before the summer transfer window closes.
The 24-year-old forward has lost a lot of prominence in the squad in 2025 and does not have a major role in Xabi Alonso’s plans for the new season.
As such, speculations linking him with an exit from the Spanish capital club are never truly far away.
However, according to MARCA, amidst all the rumours and speculations, Rodrygo’s message over his future has remained firm: he wants to stay at Real Madrid.
As mentioned earlier, over the past year, Rodrygo’s status at the club has declined significantly. Last season he finished with 14 goals, but none came after March 4, when he scored against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

Although he did score in the recent 4-0 win over WSG Tirol in a pre-season friendly in Austria, the 24-year-old’s goal drought in official matches is set to be carried into the new season.
Rodrygo’s waning form and the fact that new manager Alonso has preferred others like Gonzalo Garcia and Arda Guler over him in the team has given way to rumours of a departure.
Several Premier League clubs have shown an interest as well, with the Brazilian on the radars of teams like Manchester City, Tottenham, and Liverpool.
However, despite the situation, Rodrygo remains firm on his stance – he wants to stay at Real Madrid.
Los Blancos, for their part, are not actively trying to force him out of the club either. If the player asks to leave, the club would be willing to sell him, provided their asking price is met, and invest the proceeds into new signings.
If not, an exit seems unlikely and at the moment it appears that Rodrygo will likely end up staying put at the Santiago Bernabeu.
