The 19-year-old, who is a graduate of the Potters' academy system, has made 17 appearances for Stoke since debuting back in 2023. Lowe scored one goal last season before heading out on loan to League Two outfit Walsall, where he has made a significant impression during the first-half of the campaign.

The three-cap England under-19 international has scored 17 goals and has set up a further six from 29 appearances across all competitions for Walsall, who are currently top of League Two by a whopping twelve-point margin at the term's midway point.

Stoke City's Nathan Lowe wants to stay at Walsall amid Huddersfield Town interest

Naturally, with Stoke having struggled in the Championship this term, there has been talk of a potential premature return to the Bet 365 Stadium for Lowe, and it's little surprise he's also attracting interest elsewhere.

Football League World has learned that Lowe has received interest from League One promotion hopefuls Huddersfield Town, who are poised to sign a striker this month. As separately reported by Football League World, the Terriers are in for Plymouth Argyle's Ryan Hardie, while Kion Etete of Cardiff City is also said to be a target.

Any move would almost certainly be a loan considering Lowe's age, performances and long-term value to Stoke. However, it's understood that Lowe has rejected Michael Duff's side in order to see out the campaign with Walsall.

That's sure to be a blow for Huddersfield, who would benefit from additional firepower in the final third, though it's only going to be yet another boost as far as Walsall's title hopes are concerned.

Stoke City need to keep Nathan Lowe at Walsall

It's always tempting to test a loan player at a higher level when they've outgrown the division they're playing in, but Stoke should let Lowe complete the season in the West Midlands with Walsall.

He's clearly more than happy at Walsall and is playing with confidence, which has translated into rich goalscoring form. A fresh destination halfway through the season could just knock some of his momentum and disrupt his immediate progression, which Stoke certainly would not want as he's poised to be a part of the first-team squad next time out.
