That's something former Liverpool goalkeeper, Adam Bogdan, knows all about. He also made the move to England at a very young age from Hungary and joined Bolton Wanderers.
Ultimately, he ended up catching Liverpool's attention and signed for the club in 2015. A decade later, Anfield Watch spoke exclusively to Bogdan on our YouTube channel to find out everything he knew about Armin Pecsi.
In the interview, Bogdan was also asked about Milos Kerkez, and whether he knew anything about the Reds potentially having a third Hungarian at the club.
"Well, certainly everything points in that direction," Bogdan said. "Apart from the fact that he hasn't been announced yet.
"We thought that it was going to happen already announced pretty much after the national team game after Sweden, because he didn't participate and he left the training centre.
"But there might be a pileup of signings at the moment because of Florian Wirtz.
"I have no information apart from that everybody knows, and maybe what I've seen at the national team that he's not participating and that a signing pretty much can happen any minute.
"If I have to bet, yeah, it's going to happen.
"You know that's pretty sure, unless there is gonna be a big upset and then he goes to another team, I don't know. But, I think the only thing that is missing is to be announced and maybe the signature.
"So everything points that direction and that would be amazing."
Bogdan also went onto explain how he believes his former teammate Andy Robertson competing alongside Kerkez will be the perfect mix for Liverpool.
"I think that's the perfect mix [Kerkez and Robertson], if I was a sporting director or if I was somebody who made that decision, I would see that as the perfect set-up," Bogdan said.
