Former Roma defender and member of the Scudetto-winning squad of 1983/84, Pietro Vierchowod, discussed the Giallorossi’s chances against Milan in the upcoming Europa League quarterfinals.
In an interview with Radio Anch’io Lo Sport, Vierchowod praised De Rossi’s work at the club since his appointment in January.
“Since De Rossi arrived, Roma have improved a lot. Perhaps it also depends on the type of pressure Mourinho put on the players. Roma are giving their all, they are playing well and are now healthy.”
“They are aware that they are not inferior to many other teams, I hope they manage to get a result in Europe,” Vierchowod continued.
“Milan had ups and downs during the first half of the season, and were unable to stay close to Inter. More than Inter’s dominance, it was those behind who lost points in crucial moments of the season,” he added.
