Defender Francesco Acerbi and striker Marko Arnautovic are still playing for their futures at Inter Milan over the finale of the season.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews.
Defender Francesco Acerbi and striker Marko Arnautovic are out of contract with Inter Milan at the end of June as things stand.
The two veterans would seem to be at an age where they are out of the Nerazzurri’s project.
Inter owners Oaktree Capital have made clear that they want to prioritize investing in younger players.
Acerbi will turn 38 next season. And Arnautovic will turn 37.
Therefore, Inter have a decision to make regarding the two well-travelled players.

At the same time, the Corriere della Sera reports, Inter are well aware of what Acerbi and Arnautovic can still contribute on the pitch.
Even at the age of 37, Francesco Acerbi is an absolute stalwart in defense.
The former Lazio and Sassuolo defender remains the first-choice starter in the centre of Inter’s back three.
Having returned from a long injury spell in February, Acerbi has reasserted himself. The Italian international’s excellent form has been key for Inter across several competitions.
Meanwhile, Marko Arnautovic has enjoyed a strong run of form in recent weeks.
The Austrian has scored some key goals in starts since the end of February.
Therefore, Arnautovic has also given Inter something to think about. He could represent a reliable squad option even past the end of this season.
But as of now, nothing is set in stone. Inter will have to weigh the pros and cons of keeping Acerbi and Arnautovic.
And the last few matches of this campaign could be crucial in that respect. Both players will have the chance to convince Inter that they can contribute for one more season.
