Stephane Dalmat has offered his assessment of Inter Milan’s pursuit of Atalanta and Roma stars Ademola Lookman and Manu Kone.
Speaking to News.Superscommesse.it via FCInterNews, he urged the Nerazzurri to pursue the former.
Cristian Chivu’s men have been trying to sign Ademola Lookman for the best part of the summer transfer window.
However, after seeing two of their offers rejected by Atalanta, the San Siro giants have decided to move on.
Indeed, they’ve reportedly dropped their interest in the 27-year-old as they don’t want to waste more time.
Yet, after selling Nicola Zalewski to Atalanta, they could reopen talks with La Dea over Lookman’s move in the opposite direction.
That’s only a theory, with Inter actively pursuing other targets, including Chelsea outcast Christopher Nkunku.
Meanwhile, they’ve set their sights on Manu Kone, who had an impressive season at Roma in 2024/25.
Yet, talks with the Giallorossi have failed to take off.

Asked whether Zalewski’s transfer could facilitate Lookman’s move, Dalmat replied: “I truly hope so, because Lookman would be a massive signing for Inter.
“I think they’re really missing a player like him, someone who can take on defenders, create overloads, and come up with plays that make scoring easier.
“There’s still some time left in the transfer window, so I really hope he arrives.
“I like him a lot and I’d love to see him wearing the Inter shirt soon.”
On the other hand, he hailed Kone’s qualities but questioned his ability to adapt to Inter’s system.
“Koné is a good player, but I don’t think he fits well at Inter. Honestly, I’m not too convinced.
“In my opinion, the management must do everything possible to sign Lookman because I see him as the ideal player for this team.
“I really hope Inter and Atalanta can complete this deal as soon as possible.”

Despite his household status, Benjamin Pavard could leave San Siro by the end of the summer.
However, Dalmat doesn’t see that as a good move for the Nerazzurri.
“It would only be a positive thing if Inter managed to keep him. Since arriving at the club, he has always done his job well.
“If Inter believe he no longer fits into the project, they should only sell him for a high fee, not less than €20 million.”
In the meantime, he believes Ange-Yoan Bonny could be a massive coup for Inter.
“I have a lot of faith in Bonny,” Dalmat continued. “He’s only 21 and already showed great quality last season at Parma.
“He’s already making a good impression, and I think he can become a key player in the future.
“When Thuram joined, I said he’d do great things; I believe the same about Bonny.
“If he keeps working hard as he is now, he can become Thuram’s heir.”
