Belgian police arrested former Inter Milan and Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan yesterday on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking.

According to Corriere della Sera via FCInter1908, the local law enforcement brought the 36-year-old to justice for serious criminal charges.

Radja Nainggolan was on Inter’s payroll between 2018 and 2021 but never settled in at the San Siro.

During his exciting playing career, he became notorious for his extravagant lifestyle.

Often living as much off the pitch as on it, Nainggolan’s off-field antics frequently made headlines during his time in Italy.

However, this is an entirely different kind of scrutiny.

Police put handcuffs on Radja Nainggolan and 15 other persons over alleged involvement in criminal activities.

Indeed, Belgian officers carried out a comprehensive search, conducting a series of raids on around thirty houses.

Furthermore, the discoveries were stunning.

They seized €370,430 in cash, several luxury watches, jewelry, weapons, two bulletproof vests, 2.7 kilos of cocaine, and fourteen cars.

Moreover, police suspect Nainggolan has been part of a major drug-dealing operation.

However, his lawyer, Omar Souidi, firmly denies his client’s involvement in the drug business.

He also confirmed Nainggolan’s bringing for questioning, insisting the ex-Inter ace isn’t a suspect yet.
