Benjamin Pavard will make his return to the Inter Milan starting eleven in tomorrow’s Serie A match against Empoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908. They also report that Carlos Augusto and Kristjan Asllani will start tomorrow’s match.

Pavard has come off the bench in Inter’s last couple matches.

The former Bayern Munich defender had been on the sidelines for more than a month with injury. He had suffered a thigh strain against RB Leipzig in the Champions League in November.

Pavard had not quite managed to rush back for the Supercoppa Italiana.

But the France international has been in the squad against Venezia and Bologna in Serie A. He has played as a substitute in both matches.

According to Tuttosport, Pavard will finally be back in the starting eleven tomorrow.

After nearly two months without a start, the 29-year-old will start on the right of Inter’s back three.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport anticipate, Stefan de Vrij will start in the middle of the back three. Francesco Acerbi is not yet ready to start.

And on the left, Alessandro Bastoni will get a rest. Therefore, Carlos Augusto is set to start.

Then, in midfield, Tuttosport report that Kristjan Asllani will hold down his position at the base of the central trio.

Piotr Zielinski will once again start in the left of midfield, meanwhile. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is once again fit, but not quite ready to start.
