Roma defender Evan Ndicka spoke about his first time wearing the captain’s armband in tonight’s win over Dynamo Kyiv.
In the absence of Gianluca Mancini and with Lorenzo Pellegrini on the bench, Ndicka was named Roma’s skipper for the night by coach Ivan Juric.
After the game, Ndicka spoke to reporters about it.
“It was a nice experience, it was my first game at Roma as captain and I’m very very happy,” he said.
“It was natural to suffer tonight. This is Europe. We don’t have to win every game 2-3-0 on the fly like that. They are professionals too.”
“We are used to playing with 3 and even with 4 I think there is no problem. I adapt accordingly,” he added.
“We are fine, all the teams are tired because there are so many matches and we are making a lot of effort to win. I hope tonight can be the first step in that direction.”
