Manchester United loaned-out winger Antony has reportedly caught the attention of Bayern Munich following his impressive start at Real Betis.
The Brazilian had joined the Premier League giants in the summer of 2022 for a whopping £86 million. That operation symbolised the disappointing Erik ten Hag era which was marked by extravagant spending and failed expectations.
So when the Dutch manager was sacked in October following an abysmal start to the season, it was only a matter of time before the 24-year-old followed suit, especially after failing to find a role in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation.
The Red Devils ended up shipping off Antony to Real Betis on loan. The winger managed to make a swift impression, producing impressive displays on his first two outings for his new club. In addition to scoring a goal, Antony looked inspired, pulling off some of the flicks and tricks the Ajax crowds were accustomed to during his time in Amsterdam.

Although the Andalusians don’t have the option to buy the player, the club CEO revealed he’d like to keep the Brazil international in Spain beyond his six-month loan spell.
Nevertheless, Betis would have to overcome seizable competition, as a revitalized Antony would certainly attract a host of suitors. In fact, Fichajes.net claims Bayern have already enquired about the player.
As the source explains, the Bavarian giants have asked Man Utd about the player’s availability, as they’re already searching the market for new wingers ahead of the upcoming campaign since Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane could both be on their way out.
The report adds that Antony’s dynamic style of play would be a good fit for the Bundesliga, but Bayern would have to splash circa £42 million to strike a deal with Man United.
