This entire season has been an incredible achievement for FC Barcelona across all competitions. Originally expected to struggle this season, La Blaugrana have instead managed to establish themselves as top contenders again. From La Liga to the UEFA Champions League, Barcelona were there to compete.
While the man responsible for this is undeniably Hansi Flick, a lot of credit for Barça’s achievements this season has to go to the players as well. From Lamine Yamal to Raphinha, many players have stepped up for Barcelona this season and have taken them to new heights.
Such is also the case for young Pedri Gonzalez. The Spanish midfielder has had to go through his fair share of injuries over the last few seasons, but this was now finally his turn to showcase his quality to the world and remain fit and available for Barcelona throughout the season.
As a result of his performances, people have been praising the 22-year-old midfielder for his quality. Even recently, as highlighted by Los Edul (h/t Albiceleste Talk), Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez could not help but praise the Barcelona star as well when he was asked who he thinks is the best player in his position in the world right now:

Typically, such high praise can even be considered something special and unique for any player. For Pedri, however, this is not even the first time that a player not directly associated with Barcelona has praised his quality and vision.
Toni Kroos, a Real Madrid legend, also claimed that he believed Pedri to be the best player in his position. By taking that into account, this new bit of praise for Pedri is now something that the Barcelona midfielder is not unfamiliar with.
Even Lionel Messi, arguably the greatest ever Barcelona player, reportedly sent a lot of praise towards the player and that kept him going. However, these words from Enzo Fernandez clearly go on to show that Pedri is now finally being recognized for his quality across the world and not just in Spain.
