England U21s vs Netherlands U21s - LIVE!

England look to take another step towards defending their European U21 Championship crown as they face the Netherlands in the semi-finals this evening. The Young Lions, managed by Lee Carsley, lifted the trophy two years ago and are on course to go back-to-back.

It was a superb quarter-final display from England, who raced into a two-goal lead against Spain in what proved to be an ill-tempered clash in Trnava. They then held their nerve and sealed a 3-1 victory with a stoppage-time penalty from Elliot Anderson.

That came after a stumbling group-stage run, in which England picked up four points and scraped through into the knockout stages despite defeat to Germany and a draw with Slovenia. The Young Lions could get the chance for a swift shot at revenge against Germany, who face France in the other semi-final for a place in the final.
