Real Madrid-bound forward Endrick has expressed his love for Los Blancos once again, saying that he is set to join the greatest team in the world.

Speaking in an interview with GE Globo (h/t El Chiringuito TV), the forward said, “Real Madrid are the greatest team in the world.”

At just 17 years of age, Endrick is already a two-time Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A winner. The last one of the two was achieved last night when Palmeiras played out a 1-1 draw against Cruzeiro to finish the season with 70 points, a mere two points above second-placed Gremio.

Endrick is in exceptional form

The youngster’s opening goal against Cruzeiro was his sixth goal in his last seven outings and his performance in the final stretch of the season was truly historic as well.

He accomplished a feat not seen since Neymar in 2009 – scoring at least 10 goals in a single Brazilian league season while still under the age of 18.

Earlier in the season, Palmeiras faced a challenging period, trailing by as many as 12 points in the league standings and head coach Abel Ferreira was being cautious in allocating minutes to Endrick.

A pivotal moment occurred when Palmeiras found themselves 3-0 down against Botafogo, with Endrick’s team trailing by nine points in the title race.

In a sensational comeback, the 17-year-old scored two crucial goals, leading Palmeiras to a 4-3 victory. This marked a turning point in the team’s run, and from that moment onward, Palmeiras demonstrated resilience and determination, ultimately securing their success in the season.

Meanwhile, it is to be noted that Endrick will sign for Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 once he turns 18, but before that, he still wants to have more titles under his belt.

“Six months till Real Madrid? Yes, but I believe I have to win two more titles (Paulista & Supercopa do Brasil 2024), so I know that I have to give my everything,” he told the aforementioned outlet.
