Friday night football under the lights awaits Elena Sadiku’s Celtic FC Women’s squad as they travel to take on Dundee United at Tannadice Park.
And the Celtic boss is hoping to see a good performance and reaction from her side as they get set to return to league duties.
After narrowly losing out in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup last weekend to Glasgow City, the Ghirls will also be looking to bounce back with a win and three points.
Speaking ahgead of the game, Elena Sadiku said: “Obviously Tuesday was not the happiest day when we came back in. I think there was a lot of frustration and disappointment in the squad after the weekend.
“We created some really big chances against Glasgow City because of the style of play that we have. But we also need to make sure and execute those chances.
'But we need to now to face what we have in front of us and that is the remaining league games.'
“That is the only thing we can control because we can’t do anything about what has happened. So now our focus is on the league games we have left.”
With Friday evening’s game set to be an exciting affair under the lights at Tannadice, the Celtic boss is hoping to see her side put in a complete 90-minute performance. And the Celtic Head Coach also gave a brief squad update.
She said: “Amy Gallacher has been sick for the last week, so we need to see if she is okay to make the squad.
'Lucy Ashworth-Clifford is unfortunately not in the squad for Friday’s game, and Emma Westin is the same due to injury.'
“Obviously we know that both Glasgow City and Rangers are ahead of us when it comes to goal difference at this moment in time,” Elena Sadiku continued.
“That is something we're aware of, and that is something that we always try to do - score as many goals as we can.
“But the performance needs to be the most important thing we focus on because that is the reason we are going to score goals.
"Obviously we want to have a great reaction from last week and to put in a great performance over 90 minutes.
“Hopefully we can move the ball fast and put our style of play on the game, and we want to try and exploit their weaknesses.”
