Sky Germany reports that Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in Nürnberg striker Stefanos Tzimas as they look to replace Omar Marmoush.
Frankfurt are interested in bringing Tzimas to Deutsche Bank Park this month but that is currently unlikely as he is one of the Nürnberg’s most important players this season. However, talks have already begun over a potential move in the summer.
It is widely known that Nürnberg has an €18m buy option in their loan agreement with Tzimas’ parent club PAOK over a transfer. Die Club’s aim is to then sell Tzimas for €25m + add-ons to turn a profit on the 19-year-old. Tzimas has already attracted interest from the Premier League.
This would be the second summer in a row that Frankfurt have raided Nürnberg of their best player after Can Uzun and teammate Nathanial Brown swapped Nürnberg for Frankfurt.
Liverpool had been interested in the striker who has scored nine goals in 15 games this season, but those rumours have been squashed. Chelsea and Brighton have also been previously linked to Tzimas.
