Arsenal will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup third round tonight.

The Gunners played out a 2-2 draw against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

They had a 2-1 lead at the Etihad Stadium but went into ultra-defensive mode after Leandro Trossard’s sending-off at the break.

Mikel Arteta’s side were on the cusp of securing a memorable victory, but John Stones eventually scored a 98th-minute equaliser.

Arsenal will now turn their attention to the League Cup game against Bolton. There could be plenty of changes from the weekend.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

David Raya was spotted limping with a bandage on his right foot and he remains doubtful for the game.

Loanee Neto is cup-tied, while third-choice goalkeeper Tommy Setford is injured.

Lucas Nygaard has just returned after a broken thumb. Jack Porter is the immediate back-up option and make his debut.

There could be three defensive changes from the hard-fought stalemate in Manchester.

Ben White or Jurrien Timber are unlikely to start due to injury concerns.

Joshua Nichols could be handed his maiden senior appearance at right-back.

William Saliba is likely to start in central defence alongside Jakub Kiwior.

Miles Lewis-Skelly played regularly at left-back in pre-season and could make his full debut against Bolton.

Jorginho is an assured starter in midfield, having spent the entire City game on the bench.

Arteta may have to play one of Thomas Partey or Declan Rice with the lack of alternative midfield options in the squad.

Rice could be picked alongside Jorginho with young graduate Ethan Nwaneri operating as the most advanced of the trio.

Bukayo Saka will start on the right wing after his early and unexpected half-time substitution on Sunday.

Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus should also feature up front.
