EFL Trophy group game dates confirmed | OneFootball

City’s EDS side will face Bolton Wanderers, Oldham Athletic and Rotherham United in the group stages of the 2025/26 EFL Trophy.

We were drawn into Group E of the Northern section of the competition and the dates and times of the games have now been confirmed.

Ben Wilkinson’s side begin away to Oldham on Tuesday 26 August with a 19:00 (UK) kick-off.

Our second game will be away to Bolton and will kick-off at 19:00 (UK) on Tuesday 23 September.

And the final group match is on Tuesday 28 October when we travel to Rotherham for another 19:00 (UK) kick-off.

Both Bolton and Rotherham reached the quarter-finals of the EFL Trophy last season while Oldham will compete in the competition for the first time since 2021/22 following their promotion to League Two.

In last season’s outing, City earned two points following our draw and penalty shoot-out win over Grimsby Town but defeats to Chesterfield and Lincoln saw our campaign end at the group stage.
