Manchester City entertained Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. Pep Guardiola‘s men made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 12th minute when Rodrygo found the back of the net. Man City went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Kevin de Bruyne equalised for the home team in the 76th minute as the match finished with a 1-1 scoreline. Both teams canceled each other out in extra time as the contest went to penalties after the tie finished with an aggregate score of 4-4.

He was a positive influence in both halves and was a dominant presence in the air.

CM: Rodri – 7/10

Rodri made a handful of inviting chances in the final third and won a couple of aerial duels.

He was a real menace in the final third and managed to score his penalty in the shootout.
