There wasn’t a lot of buzz around Alexander Isak moving in January, but that could shift this summer. Paris Saint-Germain and a few other clubs are reportedly preparing to make a stronger push for the Newcastle United striker.

RMC Sport claims PSG even floated the idea of a swap deal to land Isak, which would include Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio. As for club’s in England, The Guardian’s Ed Aarons reports that Arsenal consider Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres a more attainable target than Isak.

According to TEAMtalk, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has made it clear to the board that he wants to keep the club’s top players this summer—including Isak, who’s been linked with moves to Liverpool and Arsenal.

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey recently reported that Liverpool are still pushing to land Alexander Isak, especially now that Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract.

From the start, Liverpool’s goal has been to keep Salah at Anfield and add Isak to the squad—and that plan hasn’t changed.

According to Bailey, Salah’s extension could even help sway Isak’s decision to join the Reds. With Salah staying and Virgil van Dijk also likely to remain, it’s clear Liverpool are serious about staying competitive and challenging for trophies.
