Douglas Luiz talks continue between Nottingham Forest and Juventus | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest remain the favourites to sign Juventus flop Douglas Luiz, claim Sky Sport Italia, although Fenerbahce and Aston Villa are also interested.

The midfielder was a huge €50m signing from Aston Villa last summer, but his failure to make an impact under either Thiago Motta or Igor Tudor saw him pushed to the sidelines.

Although Juve would much rather make a sale this summer, they realise that a loan with option to buy might be their best chance of getting him off the books.

Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio confirms today that negotiations are continuing with Nottingham Forest to reach a deal.

Meanwhile, Ekrem Konur assures that Aston Villa could ask for a loan back to his old club to revitalise his form, and Turkish side Fenerbahce have also pushed Juventus for information on the Brazilian.

The 27-year-old made 27 competitive appearances in the Juventus jersey during his debut season, failing to contribute a single goal or assist.

He only started six of those matches.
